Talks behind closed doors have always failed: Sheikh Rashid

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Sheikh Rashid, the leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML), said on Tuesday that talks behind closed doors have “always failed.” This came after reports that the ruling coalition and PTI Chair Imran Khan were in talks.

Monday, Imran Khan, who used to be prime minister, admitted that there were secret talks with the powerful, but nothing was clear. In response to a question, the PTI chairman said that talks were happening and that they were not happening at the same time. Nawaz Sharif wanted the election to be put off because he and Zardari were playing politics as they did in the 1990s, but those days were over, he said.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah denied Khan’s claim, saying that the coalition government of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is not negotiating with the PTI chairman because he always turned down talks when he was in the government.

Rashid, who was Imran Khan’s interior minister and is still a close friend of Khan, said in a tweet that the PDM is running away from the elections after losing on Sunday. Rashid was the interior minister when Khan was in power and is still a close friend of Khan.

He also said it wouldn’t be easy for PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif to return.

Rasheed wrote, “Nawaz Sharif won’t be able to come back easily because it was hard for him to leave the country in the first place.”

The politician also criticized the government led by Shahbaz Sharif for making the cabinet bigger and not fixing the circular debt problem. He said that there are too many federal ministers and that 20 of them don’t have portfolios, and 25 haven’t turned in their tax returns.

The leader of the Awami Muslim League said that October and November are the most important months. He was referring indirectly to an important meeting that will take place in November.

The former prime minister’s claim that he was forced out of office by a vote of no confidence because of the establishment started a new debate in the political world.

He also met with a powerful person at the President’s House not long ago, but nothing came of it.

Imran Khan said that Sunday’s by-election wasn’t an election but a referendum and that the fact that people turned out to vote showed that they didn’t like this assembly and wanted new elections in the country.

Imran also said that these people (the rulers) would destroy the country but not call for elections.

So I’m giving them more time, but the march won’t last past October. From now on, I will announce the date any time in October. This will give them time to protect themselves and not destroy the country,” he said.

He said it was impossible to talk to the people in charge.

“You can’t make a deal with thieves. You can talk about peace with Baloch or Sindhi nationalists, but not with criminals like them,” Khan said in response to Rana Sanaullah’s offer of talks on certain conditions.
