Web Desk(LTN NEWS): Companies in the US want to get better at making software, so they are turning to Pakistan. Jonathan Siddharth, CEO of California-based IT company Turing, says that Pakistan is becoming the top place for American companies to hire software developers.

In an exclusive interview with Business Recorder, Siddharth talked in depth about software developers in Pakistan.

For those who don’t know, Turing lets businesses hire programmers from all over the world. It finds long-term jobs for software developers and puts them on a list of people who work for top US companies. Developers can talk about how much they get paid, and Turing charges more than average for its services.

The company said last month that it is shifting its focus to Pakistan because it thinks the South Asian market has a lot of potential. It used to work in Pakistan, but now they are actively looking for software engineers there. Siddhart says:

“India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are quickly becoming popular places to set up software development teams. By exporting their expertise, these countries can make a lot of money in foreign currency from their tech talent, which is a very valuable asset.”

South Asian countries have always had a lot of people who know how to make software, so it’s great that our country is finally getting the credit it deserves. Pakistan’s IT and software skills, like those of its rivals India and Bangladesh, are finally getting better known by American companies.
