Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The government has decided to end the collection of taxes along with electricity bills from traders.
According to the sources, the decision to end tax collection along with the electricity bills of businessmen has been taken at the behest of the top leadership of the League (N).
Sources said that by collecting taxes along with electricity bills, a tax of 30 billion rupees was to be collected annually, but now it has been decided to meet the additional tax of 30 billion rupees by imposing more taxes on other sectors.
FBR sources say that tax on other sectors will be levied through Presidential Ordinance.
It should be noted that the businessmen strongly protested against the tax collection of Rs 6,000 through electricity bills, after which the Vice President of Muslim League (N) Maryam Nawaz also appealed to Finance Minister Miftah Ismail to withdraw the tax.
