A three-person panel of the Election Commission of Pakistan, led by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja and including Nisar Ahmed Durrani and Shah Muhammad Jatoi, has said that businessman Arif Naqvi and 34 foreigners, including some from the United States, have given money to the PTI.
In its decision, the commission said that unknown accounts had also been found. It also said that hiding accounts were a “violation” of Article 17 of the Constitution.
The commission asked the PTI to explain why the money it got shouldn’t be taken by the commission.
