Pakistan wants to have peaceful relations with India: PM

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan wants to have peaceful relations with India based on fairness, justice, and mutual respect. He met with Neil Hawkins and said that Pakistan is still committed to working more closely with Australia.

During a meeting in Islamabad with Neil Hawkins, the Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, the prime minister said these things.

“For peace and stability in the region, the Jammu and Kashmir dispute must be solved in a fair and peaceful way, in line with relevant UNSC resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people,” said PM Shehbaz.

He said that for peace to last in South Asia, it is important that the international community play a role in making this happen.

During the event, the prime minister said that Pakistan was still very committed to working more closely with Australia in many areas, such as trade, investment, agriculture, and livestock.

He also pushed for closer ties in the areas of education and technology, direct air connections, skilled migration, and people-to-people contacts.

Hawkins agreed that the two countries should work to strengthen their relationships even more.
