WebDesk (LTN NEWS): Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has said that the country will have early elections. As a result, the party is quickly reorganizing its structure, and the provincial government of Punjab is working to finish short-term development projects that are popular and visible.

The provincial government and PTI hope that early efforts will pay off in the next election.

Even though Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi hasn’t been in office for a full month yet, he has already started a number of projects that voters will find useful before the country’s general elections. In just about three weeks, Elahi turned his home district, Gujrat, into a division. This division now includes the districts of Gujrat, Mandi Bahuddin, and Hafizabad.

He has also made sure that Rescue 1122 emergency services are available in all of the province’s tehsils. He has also brought back the Ehsaas Programme, the PTI’s flagship social safety, and poverty-reduction project.

He has also promised free education up to the level of graduation, free medicines in emergency wards, an upgrade of government hospitals, triple pay for doctors working in emergency wards, a special allowance for people with disabilities, a place to live for government workers in Punjab, the creation of industrial estates and economic zones, the end of a ban on government jobs, and a number of road and infrastructure projects all over Punjab.

Since the fight between the Chaudhry family members has gotten worse, Elahi has been paying close attention to his home district of Gujrat.

Over Rs16 billion is being spent on new and ongoing development projects in Gujrat, supposedly so that there won’t be any problems during the elections.

Chief Minister Elahi has also said that Gujrat Engineering University will be opened. He did the same thing with the University of Gujrat when he was in office before, about 20 years ago. Contrary to what usually happens, the chief minister has also made sure that all the money for these development projects has been given to them so that they don’t get delayed.

He has also said that the number of beds at Wazirabad Cardiology Hospital and Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital will be increased by 500 each. He has also said that 170 new ambulances will be bought for Rescue 1122 so that emergency services can be offered in all of the province’s tehsils.

He told officials the other day to come up with a plan to give all Punjab government workers their own homes when they retire, saying that it is their right to have their own homes when they are done with their jobs.

When the chief minister met with business leaders and industrialists, he told them that business-friendly policies would be put in place and that Punjab would get high-tech special economic zones.

He pointed out that work on the Gujrat Industrial Estate is going faster than before. Several projects have also been started to deal with water, sanitation, and solid waste. He has also gotten rid of rules that the federal government put in place to limit business hours in order to save energy.

He also told the provincial government’s disabled workers that their jobs would be upgraded and that they would get a special allowance of Rs10,000. There are 664 disabled quota jobs that aren’t filled yet.

On the political party side, the PTI keeps holding rallies and other public events to build support for early elections in the country.

Political experts and critics think that former Prime Minister Imran Khan has built a strong case against corruption and foreign plots.
