Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML), said on Sunday that it is “not possible” to disqualify Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, “minus” him from the political equation, or put him in jail. He said this because he thinks elections will be held soon.

The former interior minister said that by-elections in 11 constituencies were put off because people were afraid that the former prime minister would win.

He said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is broken up and that the flood has buried the Pakistan People’s Party’s politics (PPP).

“Now, economic collapse, political instability, and inflation will bring them down because people will be out on the streets,” he said.

He said, “There will be a food shortage in Sindh. There won’t be any wheat, cotton, or sugarcane, and help hasn’t even reached Larkana and Nawabshah. This is why I say that the only way out is to vote.”

He said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif won’t listen to his younger brother Shehbaz Sharif, who is Prime Minister.

Rashid blamed the government for rising inflation and said that Finance Minister Miftah Ismail’s tears won’t make electricity and gas cheaper.

His comments were about a video of the finance minister that went viral on social media. In the video, the former minister started crying while talking about economic inequality.

Former minister of the federal government also criticized the government, saying that tension and conflict will lead to a crisis. “How will the factories work if LCs (letters of credit) aren’t opened?” he asked.
