Pak vs Eng: Shan says England play well in third T20I

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Shan Masood, one of Pakistan’s middle-order batters, said that when the score doesn’t go in Pakistan’s favor, it doesn’t matter if a single player scored a lot of runs or not.

In the third T20I against England, Shan scored 65 runs off of 40 balls. But Pakistan lost because they couldn’t reach England’s target of 222 runs.

The batter, who was playing in his third T20I, said that runs are just a side effect. He got to spend time at the crease and learn how fast the game moves, but in the end, Pakistan lost, so feelings can’t be good.

When asked what went wrong with the team that just the day before chased 200 runs without losing a wicket, the stylish batter said that England played good cricket.

“We have to give England credit for how they played. Shan said, “First, how they batted, especially Ben Duckett and Harry Brook, and then how Reece Topley and Mark Wood bowled in the powerplay to get our top order out was outstanding.”

“When you play against a top team, a quality team, they will always bring their best game. “We need to learn from our mistakes and try not to make the same ones again,” he said.

Shan said that this series against England is a chance to try out different lineups and game plans before the World Cup. He said that people should be patient with the results of this series.

“Everyone will have to do well at the World Cup,” Shan said. “In this series, we will try different things so that we can come up with a good combination and strategy for the World Cup and do well there.”

Shan was sure that Pakistan would win the series, even though they were down 2-1 after three games.

“The way we played in the second Twenty20 International showed that we can reach any goal. “I’m sure we’ll come back in the series. We’ll learn from our mistakes and try not to make the same ones again when we play again on Sunday,” he said.
