Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan after Maryam Nawaz was found not guilty. However, he said that Punjab’s power corridors need to change.
Asif said that things will change in Punjab, pointing to the PTI government in the province. He added, “We will be able to make a difference. We are trying, and we will keep trying.”

When asked about the chief of army staff (COAS), the defense minister said that there are still two months left.
He said, “Nawaz Sharif has chosen four army chiefs in the past, and his brother will choose the fifth.”
Asif asked where the idea of getting everyone’s agreement on who should be the army chief came from and said that it wasn’t in any law or the Constitution.
