Family of Arshad Sharif wants a new postmortem in Pakistan

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The family of veteran journalist Arshad Sharif said that a new autopsy will be done on his body at the hospital.

The Kenyan police said that they shot Sharif and killed him on the night of October 23. The Kenyan government said that the shooting on the outskirts of Nairobi, which is the capital of Kenya, was a case of “mistaken identity.”

Sharif’s family said that the police and the government of the federal capital will help with the autopsy at PIMS Hospital. In this case, a team of three doctors will be put together.

Arshad Sharif’s mother insisted that a senior surgeon stay at the hospital during the autopsy.

The government said that the senior journalist’s body would be moved to the PIMS Hospital in the morning. The body has been stored at the Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital’s mortuary.

After he was killed in Kenya, the first autopsy on Arshad Sharif was done in Nairobi. After the autopsy was done, his body was sent to Pakistan.

His body was brought to Islamabad early on Wednesday by a Qatar Airways flight. At the airport in Islamabad, his body was given to his family.

Arshad was killed on purpose to cover up the truth: Imran

Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI and a former prime minister, said that journalist Arshad Sharif was killed on purpose when he spoke at a lawyer’s convention in Peshawar on Tuesday.

“I know that Arshad Sharif was killed on purpose, no matter what anyone says,” Khan said.

“I had heard that Sharif would be killed so that no one would talk about the truth.”

The former prime minister also said that Sharif was getting threats from numbers he didn’t know.

“I told him to leave the country, but he didn’t listen,” Khan said. He also said that Sharif was the most respected journalist in the world.
