Islamabad (LTN NEWS): On Thursday, Asif Ali Zardari, a former president and the co-chairperson of the Pakistan People’s Party, tested positive for the presence of Covid-19.
Earlier this week, Zardari had traveled to Dubai to celebrate his 67th birthday with his nine-month-old grandson. The PPP co-chairman was born on July 26, 1955.
Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said in a tweet that his father tested positive for the virus but is “completely vaccinated, [and] boosted.”
According to Bilawal, Zardari is currently “isolated with slight symptoms and undergoing therapy.” He continued, saying that everyone is praying for a speedy recovery for him.
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Zardari’s daughter, also turned to Twitter to share the news that her father had tested positive for the virus upon arrival in Dubai, but that her father’s symptoms had been described as “minor.”
Bakhtawar insisted that Zardari would return once he had recovered from the illness, and he urged everyone to “be precautious” over the contagious ailment.
