In a press conference at Commissioner House of Dera Ismail Khan, Provincial Minister of Municipalities Faisal Amin Gandapur and Commissioner Amir Afaq said that there has been a loss of 10 billion rupees due to floods and rains in Dera Ismail Khan, communication and agriculture systems have been destroyed throughout the district.
He said that more than 1,000 cattle were killed by the flood, 40,000 houses and 236 villages were destroyed, 31 schools were affected in the district and the highways and link roads also suffered extraordinary damage.
The provincial minister said that the relief and rescue operation will continue for several months, NHA is also on board with the administration while the provincial government is being kept informed of the entire situation.
