Web Desk (LTN NEWS): At a local tourist spot in Islamabad, tourists kept bothering three foreigners over and over again.
In a video that is going around social media, three foreigners (two women and a man) are harassed by a crowd on Independence Day in Shakarparian, a tourist spot in the federal capital.
From what the police in Islamabad have said, the incident happened at the Pakistan Monument. The police did not get any calls asking them to look into what happened.
“No one told the people in charge who were there when the incident happened,” the police said.
Islamabad Updates, a Twitter page that talks about what’s going on in the city, shared videos of the disturbing event. In the videos, more than a dozen men can be seen surrounding the two women and the man who was with them and harassing them.
The crowd’s unwanted attention makes it clear that the tourists are upset and uncomfortable.
“On Pakistan’s Independence Day, some boys in Shakarparian, Islamabad, were rude to foreign tourists. The people who did this must be found and punished” the video’s title said.
Netizens have strongly reacted to the videos, asking the relevant authorities to start an investigation and punish the men who harassed the tourists.
