Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Imran Khan, head of the PTI, criticized the coalition government on Monday. He said that the “imported government of a cabal of crooks and their handlers” hit a new low when they tried to shut down his telethon to raise money for flood victims.

On Sunday, PTI got Rs5.2 billion from a telethon that was run by Imran Khan.

Imran Khan said on Twitter that the government “pressured” TV stations not to show the telethon and then “threatened” cable companies that kept showing the show.

PTI chairman Imran Khan wrote, “This shows how scared they are of our growing popularity in the country. They also know that no one trusts them with their money because of their history of stealing and looting. So they tried to stop a fundraiser to help flood victims just to get back at me and my party. Unbelievable callousness.”

Pakistan has been asking for help from other countries in the form of money and supplies to help the people and places that were hurt by the devastating floods that hit the country this monsoon season, causing damage that can’t be measured and flooding one-third of the country.
