Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, the senior central vice president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said that the government that was brought in from outside Pakistan will be overthrown by September 10.
He told reporters outside the Islamabad High Court that Imran Khan’s first rally in Rawalpindi had shook up the foreign rulers and that a fake FIR of terrorism had been filed against him.
He said that Imran Khan had said that the IG, DIG, and magistrate would be taken to court, but Rana Sanaullah, Attaullah Tarar, and other PMLN members had openly threatened the government, but nothing was done against them.
He said that the media were the target of the largest censorship operation in Pakistan’s history. This was done to give some media groups a monopoly. Fawad said that Imran Khan had been given bail by the Islamabad High Court. “In this case, we will also file a petition to end the FIR, since this FIR has no legal standing and should be quashed.”
He said that after the jail sent a report to the court, it was clear that Shahbaz Gill had been tortured. He said that people from all over the country came out to protest Imran Khan’s arrest. He also said that the PML-N must have realized by now that if any extreme steps were taken against him, the people would react strongly.
Fawad said that Pakistan was practicing fascism because “it is a minority government.” “The minority government stays in power through force and intimidation. There is no moral justification for this government,” he said.
He said that the people’s anger at the rulers had made them more excited, and he added that the power would be given back to the people of Pakistan. These actions against Imran Khan are only meant to keep him out of the public eye. In this age of social media, no one’s voice can be silenced, he added.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the vice chairman of the PTI, told the media that if anyone tried to stop Imran Khan, the PTI would fight it in court. Qureshi said that the government filed a FIR because politics were confusing and Imran Khan was becoming more popular. He said that all of this was done to make people in the country scared.
He said that people in all of Pakistan’s cities had made videos of their peaceful protests. Qureshi said that when they went to the Islamabad High Court, they asked for protective bail, which the double bench granted for Imran Khan until Thursday.
Qureshi said that the government that was brought in seemed nervous and wanted to stop Imran’s campaign to reach out to a large number of people. He added that this went against democratic traditions and didn’t even happen in dictatorships.
“Pakistan’s people are with Imran Khan. After the people of Punjab, the people of Karachi also backed up his story. “We won in a big way,” he said. He said that the government should stop being so stubborn and hold elections instead of causing political instability in the country.
“When we were young, the media were free and there were no limits on freedom of speech. During Imran Khan’s speech at the Rawalpindi rally, the foreign government also tried to change the way people talked about him on social media. “Pakistanis are now more politically aware and pay attention to everything that is going on in their country,” he said.
