Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has criticized the federal government for putting cases against it ahead of helping people affected by floods caused by rain. He said that the people of the country can’t be left to the mercy of this “incompetent group” and that he will go to the areas affected by the floods himself.
Sources say that the former prime minister led a meeting of the PTI political committee where the current political situation was also talked about.
The people there talked about the flooding in Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and told Imran about the flooding in Sindh.
Ali Zaidi, a leader of the PTI, said, “The Sindh government has abandoned the people.”
After Karachi, he said, “everyone can see how the Sindh government is doing in the rest of the province.”
The PTI chairman promised that the PTI would not leave the flood victims alone. He told the governments of Punjab and K-P to help the flood victims right away.
“The PTI can’t leave the people in the hands of this incompetent group, since no one is willing to give money to Shehbaz Sharif.”
During the meeting, PTI’s PR campaign and Imran’s trip to Sindh were also talked about.
Sources said that Imran had decided to go to the flood-hit areas himself and that he would start going to Punjab and K-P today (Friday).
A senior member of the PTI, Fawad Chaudhry, said that the government of Sindh’s efforts to help flood victims “failed.” “The Pakistan Peoples Party has utterly failed. It has hurt the economy and politics of the province.”
When he spoke to the media in Bani Gala, he said that the provincial governments need to do their jobs well.
“Its main goal is to catch political rivals like Haleem Adil Sheikh, even though the people are suffering from the flood.”
Fawad said, “Imran Khan will go to the flood-affected areas on Friday, and relief work will start in Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur districts.”
He said that making a case of terrorism against Imran Khan made the country look bad around the world.
Fawad said, “Such cases have an effect on the justice system,” and he asked the chief justice of Pakistan to pay attention to this torture.
Fawad said that PTI leader Shahbaz Gill and journalist Jameel Farooqui were stripped and beaten.
“No one takes the order from the acting chief justice of the Islamabad High Court seriously,” Fawad said. He also said that Pakistan’s courts shouldn’t be seen as a “partner in torture.”
He swore that he would bring those who hurt Farooqui and Gill to the attention of everyone. “We sent the provincial governments a clear message that their only goal should be to serve the people.”
