Web Desk(LTN News): On Friday, a new alleged video of former prime minister Imran Khan was posted on social media. This clip is the latest in a string of reported conversations between the PTI leader and PTI leaders Shireen Mazari and Asad Umar over the cypher.
The tape, which is just over a minute long, is the second in a day to feature the PTI chairman. Imran asserted the PML-N was behind a “new game of phoney audios” in a rally this afternoon.
The trio can be seen discussing the cypher and apparently plotting how to “play it up in public” in the most recent video.
The person that is thought to be Umar can be heard saying: “Another thing is in hindsight that whatever we are doing now should have been done at least ten days ago.” near the beginning of the audio.
Imran supposedly says, “The influence of this letter is far-reaching and it has spread all across the world.”
“The Chinese even have released an official statement condemning the US meddling in the internal affairs of Pakistan,” a voice believed to be Mazari’s interrupts.
“The people is behind us, and we must ensure that the pressure must be at such a height that whoever goes to the assembly for voting must be branded for life, and you have to brand them as Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq,” allegedly says Imran after outlining the strategy.
The PTI leader allegedly follows that by pressuring his party leaders to “spoon-feed them since their minds are currently fertile grounds.”
When Mazari was halfway through her sentence, “a separate portion of the conversation is pasted then the remainder of my sentence,” she later claimed that the clip had “cut-pasted bits.”
“Not that there is anything incriminating in the entire audio so let PML-N ‘journo’ mouthpieces get their thrills!” she added.
Earlier in the day, an audio recording leaked of a voice — sounding like Imran’s — discussing “buying five” and “numbers game”. “You have a misunderstanding that now the number game is complete.. don’t think this is over.”
48 hours is a very long time, as you can see. Major events are taking place. Imran allegedly states in the 54-second film, “I am making my own movements that we can’t make public.
The PTI leader reportedly continues by announcing that he “is buying five.”
“I have made it clear that those five are crucial. And tell them that if they obtain these five and he acquires 10, we will win the game. The country is currently in a state of alarm. Everybody wants us to triumph in some way.
The voice, which is thought to be Imran’s, continues, “So don’t worry about if this is right or bad […] even if they break one, it will cause a huge difference.”
With the audio samples that were made public on Friday, there are now four clips that purport to show the PTI chairman. Three of the four videos focus on the cypher, and one on purported horsetrading.
Last week, a claimed audio tape of Imran and then-principal secretary Azam Khan discussing the cypher that Asad Majeed, the then-envoy to the US, shared and which Imran has used to promote his international conspiracy theory, was reportedly made public.
The former prime minister is heard in the video instructing Azam to “play up” the cypher and portray it as a foreign attempt to overthrow his government, but he also says that no specific nation needs to be mentioned.
