India release water in Chenab

Islamabad (LTN NEWS): According to LTN News, India has released water into the River Chenab, raising its level at Akhnoor to 2,73,950 cubic feet per second.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning for tomorrow’s expected significant flooding in the Chenab River.

According to the PDMA, the high river flood is anticipated in the next 24 to 48 hours at Marala Headworks in the Sialkot district, Khanki Headworks in the Gujranwala district, and Qadirabad Headworks in the Mandi Bahauddin district.

All concerned departments have been urged by the PDMA to prepare themselves fully for any emergency circumstance. The authority has also recommended canceling employee vacations and preparing heavy equipment for any emergency.
