Web Desk (LTN NEWS): After the increase in the prices of petroleum products, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail and senior journalist Hamid Mir took to Twitter.
Hamid Mir shared the news of the claim of no increase in the prices of petroleum products and wrote ‘Muftah Sahib, why are you always wrong?’
In response, the finance minister said, “Mir, we have not imposed a single rupee of new tax on petroleum products, the prices of which have increased or decreased, only according to the purchase of PSO.”
Hamid Mir replied ‘Muftah Sahib, the simple question is that oil has become cheap in the world market, why did you make it expensive?’
Hamid Mir said ‘you are the finance minister of Pakistan, why did you claim that the prices are not being increased a day before the increase in prices?’
Miftah Ismail replied ‘I am an easy target which is fine, the change in petroleum product prices reflects the change in PSO expenditure, I welcome people’s criticism, know that I am sincere to my country, and saved it from default.’
