PM Shehbaz never had to appear in court again

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): In the money laundering case, a court of accountability said yes to PM Shehbaz Sharif’s request to never have to go to court again.

On Tuesday, Judge Qamar uz Zaman held a hearing about the money laundering charge. He agreed with the PM’s plea and gave him permission to send someone else to court in his place.

The court also gave Hamza Shahbaz, the leader of the opposition in the Punjab Assembly, a one-day break.

The court asked NAB what it thought about Hamza’s request for a waiver from permanent attendance.

In the reference, NAB says that the Shehbaz family’s assets have grown from Rs2 million to Rs7 billion in the last 30 years, which the family has not been able to explain.

The bureau said that Shehbaz’s family members and benamidars got fake foreign remittances in their personal bank accounts. They also said that Hamza Shahbaz and Suleman Shehbaz were used to launder billions of rupees by having foreign pay orders deposited in their personal bank accounts.
