Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have asked party members and supporters to go out on the streets to protest the possible arrest of Imran Khan, the party’s leader, and a former prime minister. Fawad Chaudhry tells party workers to go to the Bani Gala home of the former PM.

The call came after Imran, the head of the PTI was charged with terrorism after the Islamabad Saddar Magistrate Ali Javed said that he threatened Zeba Chaudhry, an additional sessions judge in the federal capital.

FIR was filed with the Margalla police station at 10 p.m. on Saturday after Imran Khan spoke at a PTI rally in F9 Park. Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act is also written on the FIR.

The FIR was filed hours before a resident of G-11/2 wrote to another police station in Islamabad to file a case against Imran for giving hate speeches and trying to get people to rebel against the army, police, and judiciary.

In the FIR that the Margalla police filed, it was said that the PTI leader had threatened the additional sessions judge of Islamabad in order to scare high-ranking police and court officials so that they would not do their jobs and not take action against the PTI because they were afraid of Imran.

In a tweet, senior PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry asked workers to go to Imran’s home in Bani Gala. He said that dozens of workers were already there. “Inshallah, in a few hours, tens of thousands of people will be in Bani Gala,” he said.

In an interview with the media, PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi told party members that if Imran were to be arrested, they should be ready to protest and wait for the party to call for a protest.

He said that they were worried that the coalition government was going to try to arrest the party leader. He said, “Imran is our red line, and those who try to harm him will have to pay.”

Farrukh Habib and Hammad Azhar, both leaders of the PTI, asked their workers to gather in Faisalabad and Lahore’s Liberty Chow, respectively, to stop the “imported government” from arresting Imran.

“If Imran Khan is arrested by the imported government, we will take over Islamabad,” said former federal minister Ali Amin Gandapur on his official Twitter account, warning the police to stay out of the political war or they will be treated like PDM workers.
