Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Imran Khan, the head of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and a former prime minister, was very angry about the arrests of the news director of a private TV channel and the wife of Shahbaz Gill’s assistant on Thursday.

The head of the PTI called the arrests “fascist illegal kidnappings” and asked the legal community if there were no “fundamental rights” left.

After Shahbaz Gill was arrested on Saturday, the ICT police also went to his assistant’s house and searched it. They said that Shahbaz Gill’s arrest was “legal.”

Imran said on his official Twitter account that the “imported government of cabal of crooks” is trying to “gain acceptance after being routed in Punjab” by using fear and terror against the media and the people.

He also said that such actions “further destabilize the country” and that “fair and free elections” are the only way to solve the problems Pakistan is facing.

The government said earlier this week that Gill was arrested for sedition and trying to get people to work against state institutions.

“Someone tried to stir up mutiny and sedition in the ranks and files of the Pakistan Army. “This whole plot is being looked into, and the people involved are being found out,” said Rana Sanaullah, who is in charge of the Interior Ministry.
