Web Desk (LTN NEWS): PTI is strong in 22 of Pakistan’s 35 districts, and officials are in close contact with the people.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is now the largest political party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), said PTI’s provincial information secretary and MPA, Zahir Shah Toru, on Friday. The PTI has more than 150,000 officials and a unified structure.
He and other local party leaders were holding a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club.
Toru said that the PTI has been able to build a strong structure of organizational powers in 22 of the province’s 35 districts. He also said that the party had a structure that was well spread to the grassroots across the province.
“PTI is the only political party with 150,000 people who work directly with the people,” he said.
He said that Pervez Khattak, the provincial president of PTI, had been in charge of reorganizing and reactivating the party for the last three months on the orders of Imran Khan, the head of the party. This was done so that workers and voters at the grassroots level could have active contact with the party.
The MPA said, “The efforts have paid off today, with thousands of officials in district-level organizations who will now play a key role in getting Imran Khan’s vision out to the people.”
