PTI’s petition again FIA is dismiss by the IHC

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) threw out Pakistan Tehreek-e-(PTI) Insaf’s petition against the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) notices on Thursday (FIA).

The former ruling party took the FIA to court because it took action after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) made a decision in the case of illegal funding.

Last week, IHC put a hold on the FIA’s notices and asked for comments by August 10. The court also told FIA officials to come to the next hearing in person.

Acting Chief Justice Amir Farooq wrote a four-page decision about the case today.

The judge ruled that the notices that the application was made against have been carried out. The application was no longer valid after the PTI secretariat employees replied to the notices and the investigation in question took place, as stated in the judgment.

The ruling said that the petitioner’s lawyer had said that the notices were sent in violation of the court order and FIA circular. However, the court said that the FIA circular was only sent to the cyber-crime wing.

The court ruled on the petition by telling the FIA to include the right information in its future notices.

Since the PTI couldn’t get a reprieve, the FIA is likely to keep going after the party’s financial arm.

Asad Qaiser has also asked the Peshawar High Court to throw out the notice in the PTI funding case (PHC).

Asad Qaiser’s lawyer, Barrister Gohar Ali, filed a writ petition in court so that he wouldn’t have to go before the federal agency and risk being arrested in the high-profile case.

Qaiser told the media outside the court that he hasn’t asked the court for bail before being arrested. He also said that the FIA couldn’t look into the matter because it wasn’t their job.

“We opened these accounts so that it would be easier for us. It’s not a crime. It was set up so that employees’ wages and office costs could be paid,” he said. He also said that all deposits and withdrawals had been checked and that only one million rupees had been taken out of the account in the past six years.
