Lahore (LTN EWS): Right after taking part in a Mefil-i-Masalma at Radio Pakistan, Lahore, he had a heart attack.
Rescue 1122 was called, and he was taken to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology, where doctors pronounced him dead as soon as they got there.
Qaim Naqvi was from the town of Alipur in the district of Muzaffargarh. He was the son of the Shia scholar Allama Manzoor Hussain Naqvi.
Nutq and Zaad-i-Hijr were two of his books of poetry. He was the editor of the literary magazines Mah-i-Nau and Namood for a long time and stayed on the board of the Lahore-based Halqa Arbab-i-Zauq.
At his funeral, prayers were said at Mominpura, which is close to Lakshmi Chowk.
