Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Vedant Patel, a spokesman for the US State Department, said that talks between the governments of Islamabad and Washington are normal and part of the standard bilateral protocol. This was said after President Joe Biden’s recent statement about Pakistan’s nuclear weapons caused a stir.
Spokesman Vedant Patel, on the other hand, didn’t say anything about Pakistan’s ambassador’s recent meeting at the State Department.
Patel said that Pakistan was hit by terrorism more than almost any other country. He said that the fight against terrorism is in our shared interests.
“The US has always thought that a safe and successful Pakistan was in its best interests. The US values working with Pakistan for a long time,” he said.
Patel said that only a few countries had had as much trouble with terrorism as Pakistan has.
“The fight against terrorism is one of our common goals,” he said.
He said that groups like the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) are a major threat to the area and that the US wants to work closely with Pakistan to fight terrorism.

“Pakistan has been hurt by terrorism more than almost any other country. The US has a shared goal of stopping groups like the TTP from making the region less stable and less safe,” he said.
He also said that the US hopes Pakistan will act against global and regional terrorist groups.
“We want to work together with Pakistan to stop terrorism, and we expect all militant and terrorist groups to be dealt with in a consistent way. We look forward to working together to get rid of all terrorist threats in the region and around the world,” he added.
US policy toward Pakistan stays the same.
A US senator said on Tuesday that US President Joe Biden did not want to hurt relations between the US and Pakistan.
“I don’t know what made President Biden say what he said about Pakistan, but I don’t think this was meant to hurt US-Pakistan relations in any way,” Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen told reporters at an event in Maryland.
In response to what Biden said, Hollen said that his country’s policy toward Pakistan hasn’t changed and that the US president’s words were made up on the spot.
The US senator said, “The United States does trust Pakistan to keep its nuclear arsenal safe.”
He said that the US State Department’s explanation also makes it sound like President Biden didn’t mean to say what he said.
Hollen also said that the US wants to have stable relations with Pakistan. He said the coordinated response to the flash floods in Pakistan was a good example.
He also said that the US is always in touch with Pakistani officials and looking for more ways to help the country with flood relief.
He also said that Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, was wrong when he said that the US was behind a change of government in Pakistan. He said that the US does not make decisions about who should be in the government of Pakistan. He said it was up to the people of Pakistan to choose who should lead them.
“However, I will say that the former prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, is wrong,” he said, adding that the US had nothing to do with the country’s regime change.
Pakistan is the most dangerous country: Biden.
The US officials’ comments come just days after the US President said Pakistan’s nuclear programme is not well thought out.
Biden said that Pakistan is “one of the most dangerous countries” and that Islamabad’s nuclear programme is not well thought out.
“Did anyone think we’d be in a place where China is trying to figure out what its role is in relation to Russia, India, and Pakistan?” President Biden said this on Saturday, October 15, at a reception for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Biden said of Chinese President Jinping that “he knows what he wants, but he has many problems.
“How should we deal with that? How do we deal with that in light of what’s happening in Russia? And Pakistan, which I think is probably one of the most dangerous countries in the world. Nuclear weapons that don’t make sense, “Even though a lot is going on, the US has a lot of chances to change things in the second quarter of the 21st century, the US president said.
What did Pakistan do?
Before giving a detailed official response, the Pakistani government officials talked with each other. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari were very angry about Biden’s words.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) told US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome that President Biden’s comments about Pakistan’s nuclear programme were misleading.
The ministry said that acting Foreign Secretary Jauhar Saleem called the US ambassador to give the message. The US envoy was told that Pakistan was upset and worried about the uncalled-for comments.
The ministry said that the US president’s words are not based on reality or facts.
The secretary made it clear that Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state. The way it runs its nuclear programme and sticks to global standards and best practices is well known, even by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
“It was important to keep things going in a good direction between Pakistan and the US and for the two countries to work together closely,” the ministry said.
