Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Friday, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leaders Maryam Nawaz, Rana Sanaullah, and Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman had their case for contempt of court thrown out by the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The court heard the plea this morning and threw it out because it wasn’t valid.

The IHC agreed with the objection that the registrar’s office was not the right place to hear the case and asked the petitioner’s lawyer what the application was about.

The lawyer said that these leaders had said different things about the justice system on social media.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani asked if this high court has made any statements. After that, he told the petitioner’s lawyer to take the case to the Supreme Court and the Lahore High Court, which the lawyer said were mentioned in the alleged malicious statements.

“If the petitioner is from Lahore, why doesn’t he file the case there? There are also courts in Lahore,” Justice Kayani said.

The court then threw out the petition for contempt of court because it was not valid.
