Web Desk (LTN NEWS): By-elections that were supposed to take place on September 11, September 25, and October 2 have been pushed back.
ECP decided Thursday that 13 by-elections in Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be moved to a later date.
In a meeting held today, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan decided that the polling for the by-elections that were supposed to take place on September 11, September 25, and October 2 would be moved. This was done because of the recent flash floods and the damage they caused.

Polling has been moved back to the following places in Sindh, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:
ECP said that only the polling dates in the above-mentioned constituencies have been changed. All other procedures and steps will still be done as planned.
The commission said that the decision to postpone the by-elections was made after hearing from the Ministry of Interior that the Pakistan Army, rangers, and Frontier Corps are busy helping flood victims, keeping the country safe, and stopping terrorists from doing things in the country.
ECP will announce new polling dates as soon as it knows when the people who work for law enforcement will be free.
