Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Actor Adnan Siddiqui was in the same place as Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah at the same time. After hearing Shah say that he was worried about an actor, Siddiqui decided to ask Shah for help. He brought up the case of former cricket player Zaheer Abbas, who has raised Pakistan’s flag high both at home and abroad, and asked him to help as a “moral obligation to our hero.”

On Wednesday, the actor from Mere Paas Tum Ho posted an old picture of Abbas on the field next to a newer one. “This is a strong request to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Mr. Syed Murad Ali Shah. I heard him at the Islamabad airport telling someone to help an actor who is having money problems. Sir, I’m sorry I listened in on you by accident, but your care for the industry really moved me. I ask you to show the same kindness to our cricketer Zaheer Abbas, who has been in the UK’s Hammersmith Hospital for 2.5 months with pneumonia, kidney failure, and liver problems.

Siddiqui explained everything the athlete has done in his successful career. “It hurts to see that a player who brought the country worldwide fame, was called the “Bradman of Asia,” won the prestigious Pride of Pakistan award, and is an inspiration to people of all ages hasn’t gotten any help from his home country.”

The actor from Dum Mastam thinks it’s his moral duty to help him. “Since he has a red passport, I’m sure the NHS is giving him the help he needs. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have to help. It’s the right thing to do for our hero,” he said.
