Rawalpindi (LTN NEWS): The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday that Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa went to the funeral prayers of Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali and Brigadier Muhammad Khalid, who died in the Balochistan helicopter crash.
Balochistan Governor Mir Jan Muhammad Jamali, Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, provincial ministers, and many civil and military officials, including relatives of the martyrs, attended the funeral.
The military’s media arm says that the COAS visited the families of Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali, Brig Muhammad Khalid, and Lt Col Laiq Baig Mirza, all of whom died at Ziarat.
The bodies of the people who died in the helicopter crash were brought to Rawalpindi. At 5:30 p.m. today, the Central Namaz-e-Janaza for the three martyrs will be held at the Army Graveyard in Rawalpindi.
The ISPR also said that the people who died will be buried with full military honors.
Funeral prayers for soldiers who died
Prayers were said in their hometowns for the other soldiers who were in the helicopter that crashed.
Major Talha’s funeral prayers were held in Rawalpindi, and the Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army, Lt. Gen. Azhar Abbas, and the Commander of the Rawalpindi Corps, Lt. Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza, as well as other military officials, relatives of the martyrs, and other civilians, were there.
The guard of honor was made up of members of the Pakistan Army, and the soldier who died was buried with full military honors. A flower wreath and the Pakistani flag were given to Maj. Talha’s father by the commander of the Rawalpindi Corps.
At Narowal’s Shakargarh, a prayer was said for Naik Mudassar Fayyaz. Senior military and civilian leaders, such as the General Officer Commanding Sialkot Garrison, were there.
The guard of honor was done by a group of soldiers, the national flag was shown, and wreaths of flowers were laid.
Major Saeed’s funeral prayer was held in Larkana, where the Commander of Logistics Pannu Aqil Garrison, senior officers, soldiers, relatives of the martyr, and a number of other people were present.
The father of the martyr was given Pakistan’s flag, and he was buried with full military honor.
