Earthquake hits KP and Punjab

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The center of the earthquake was in the Koh Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan. Late Sunday night, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale shook parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.

Local news outlets said that the tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mardan, Abbottabad, Swabi, Mohmand, Bajour, and Buner, as well as their surrounding areas. However, no casualties or injuries were reported.

People ran out of their homes in fear and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran, but no one was hurt or anything was damaged anywhere in the country.

According to data from the US Geological Survey, the center of the earthquake was 10 kilometers below the surface in the Koh Hindukush mountain range in Afghanistan.
