ISLAMABAD (LTN News): Celebrities are happy because the Supreme Court ruled last night that Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was the rightful leader of Punjab.
In the run-off election for the office on July 22, he got 186 votes to his opponent Hamza Shehbaz’s 179. The pending decision not only led to a lot of memes about Hamza, but it also gave stars who had rallied behind Elahi and in the past backed the former PM Imran Khan a chance to celebrate.
TYe Dil Mera actor Adnan Siddiqui Tweeted, “Hail democracy! People’s faith has been restored. Hoping it’s upheld by the elected leaders.”
Actor Osman Khalid Butt talked about the verdict in a more humorous way.
Arsalan Naseer, a comedian, and actor from the show Chupke Chupke, joked that Hamza shouldn’t worry and should instead lock the office doors from the inside.

President Dr. Arif Alvi gave Elahi the oath of office this morning at Aiwan-i-Sadr in Islamabad. Elahi will start his new job as the Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) from now on.
Soon after the decision was made, Hamza was told to leave. The short order said that Hamza was not a properly elected CM and that the oath of office that was given to him did not have any legal force.
