It’s no fun going to IMF, Chinese, Saudis, asking for money: Miftah Ismail

Islamabad (LTN News): The Pressure on Pakistani Rupees will “Fade Away” in just a few weeks, says Miftha (Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue).

In an interview with Tabadlab, Miftah Ismail expressed hope that the exchange rate will stabilize soon as dollars inflow into the country will soon be increased than outflow.

“Nobody is happy with the surgery, but sometimes it’s necessary,” he said

Fears of default have ended and the policymakers also knew it,” Miftah added.

The finance minister said that money from the IMF will start coming in within a few weeks. When asked why the meeting with the lending organization was delayed, the minister said that IMF directors will be on vacation from August 1 to 15.
