Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Thursday that the government had nothing to do with the audio leaks. He said that audio tapes of the PTI and coalition government have been showing up over the last few days but that the government has nothing to do with them.
During a press conference at PM House, the prime minister talked about the cypher and the alleged foreign plot.
He said that it “hurt the reputation of the country internationally.”
“If I was the one who leaked the audio of PTI leaders, why would I release my own?” he asked.
“Who is going to come to PM House and talk to the prime minister with confidence?” asked the prime minister, adding that this kind of damage has hurt the country for decades.
The prime minister said that there was no doubt that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was in charge of the cypher conspiracy. He blamed Khan for pushing the country toward chaos through the cypher conspiracy.

“After the audio leak about the cypher, there is no doubt who was behind the plot,” the PM said.
He also said that the country was used as a pawn because of the cypher, which he called the worst form of dishonesty in Pakistan.
“The country has seen sly faces,” he said, accusing PTI of hurting the country’s pride.
“Let’s go back to April 3, when the vote on the no-confidence motion was going to happen. Everyone knows what happened that day. But I just want to tell you what happened that day,” he said.
The prime minister said that at the time, Qasim Suri, who was the deputy speaker of the National Assembly and was running the meeting in place of Asad Qaiser, let the information minister, Fawad Chaudhry, speak before the voting started.
He read a statement that said there was a plot against the PTI government, which he called a foreign conspiracy.
“On this point, Suri Sahab refused to let the voting process happen without even telling the Opposition,” said PM Shehbaz, adding that the Opposition’s “hues and cries were ignored.
The PM went on to say that Imran Khan quickly showed up on TV and said that he was dissolving the National Assembly.
“Surprisingly, the President of Pakistan also passed the summary within 20 minutes,” he said.
“I won’t go over what happened again. I just want to give you the link to the whole plot,” he explained.
The prime minister made fun of President Alvi by saying that he takes days or weeks to approve summaries, like the one about appointing the governor of Punjab, but only 20 minutes to approve the one about dissolving assemblies.
“This was the basis of the conspiracy that Khan has been a part of for the last five months, wasting the nation’s time,” said PM Shehbaz, lamenting that his wrongdoings had hurt the country’s relationships with the world’s biggest powers.

He said, “You can say whatever you want, but calling someone a traitor […] there is no bigger conspiracy than that.”
He was referring to the fact that several coalition government leaders had been accused of baseless claims during this time.
“I told the Lower House that if this conspiracy against me or the coalition was proven, God forbid, then the country could hang me.”
The prime minister said that the recent audio leaks, which he said were of Khan and his former federal ministers, showed that Khan was telling the truth.
“He can be heard saying that this was just a game, and they can be heard saying that the meeting minutes should be written the way they want. They played with the trust of the whole country. The honour of the country was ruined in a way that has never happened before in history. This is nothing less than treason,” Shehbaz said, calling Khan’s actions a serious game with the country.
“I want to know if there is still any doubt about who was behind the plot.”
PM Shehbaz said he was giving a speech today to make the nation aware of the biggest liar in the country. He said that Imran could put the country at risk for his own personal gain.
