Islamabad (LTN NEWS): Ataullah Tarar, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, requested on Wednesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan clarify his position in light of the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) finding that his party received funding from adversary nations like Israel and India.

During a news conference held here, he said that the “Jewish and Indian” had unlawfully sponsored PTI in order to advocate for their causes and interests. He added that PTI had also benefited from a donation made by Romita Shetty, an American entrepreneur of Indian descent.

He claimed that the PTI leader was an advocate of U-turns who supported the name-in politics culture and had consistently practiced the politics of turmoil, accusations, and lies.

Fawad Chaudhry, the leader of the PTI, came under fire from Tarar for saying that the ECP decision was made in a rush. After an eight-year period had passed, he said PTI intended to continue to pursue the matter. As they were aware of anomalies in the party’s finances, PTI continued to knock on the doors of the courts, asking for a stay in the foreign funding case.

Tarar commended the ECP for announcing a fair verdict despite PTI pressure.

He added that the ECP’s ruling had good effects on the economy of the nation, boosting the value of the rupee relative to the US dollar.
