Web Desk (LTN NEWS): The details of the expression of willingness sent by Pakistan to the IMF have been revealed.
According to sources, Pakistan has assured the IMF to increase the levy on petroleum products to Rs 50 per liter.
Sources say that from September 1, the levy on petrol will be increased by Rs 10 and on diesel by Rs 5, while in September, the levy on petrol will be increased to Rs 30 and on diesel to Rs 15.
Sources say that in the coming months, the levy will be increased by Rs 5 per liter, and thus by January 2023, the levy will increase to Rs 50 per liter.

It should be remembered that currently the petrol levy is Rs 20 and that of kerosene is Rs 10, while sources say that the government has set a target of collecting Rs 855 billion in the levy on petroleum products this fiscal year.

It should be remembered that the IMF had sent a letter of intent to Pakistan a few days ago for the payment of one billion 17 million dollars of debt, which has been sent to the IMF again after the signature of Finance Minister Miftah Ismail and the Governor of the State Bank.
