Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Pacers Haris Rauf and Mohammed Nawaz each took three wickets, and in the end, Pakistan beat England by three runs in the fourth T20I International on Sunday in Karachi. This tied the seven-game series at 2-2.

In front of a packed National Stadium, Pakistan’s opener Mohammad Rizwan hit a smooth 88 runs to help the team get to 166-4. Later, Rauf got rid of Dawson (34) and Olly Stone with two balls in a row in the penultimate over. Then, Pakistan ran out Reece Topley to win the game, which seemed unlikely at the time.

Rizwan lived up to his reputation as the best T20I batsman in the world. After England put Pakistan in to bat, his 67-ball innings had nine fours and a six. He and Babar Azam (36), who hit three fours in his 28-ball innings, put up 97 runs as the first pair.

After Azam was caught by Dawson’s spin in the 12th over, however, England slowed down the rate at which they were scoring. Shan Masood (21) and Khushdil Shah (2), who were in the middle of the Pakistani lineup, both fell quickly.

Rizwan was finally caught in the 19th over by Topley, who ended the game with a score of 2-37. Pakistan became the first team to play 200 T20Is in this match. Asif Ali hit two sixes in the last over of the innings to make the score look better.

After losing three wickets in the first two overs, including two to Hasnain (2-40), England’s pursuit was revived by the in-form duo of Ben Duckett and Harry Brook.

Although Duckett fell for a well-hit33, England remained competitive thanks to contributions from Brook (34) and Captain Moeen Ali (29), until Pakistan took control with a double punch from Nawaz (3-35) and Mohammad Wasim (1-30).

And in an up-and-down game, Dawson took 24 runs off Muhammad Hasnain in the 18th over. This put Pakistan on the verge of winning, but the hosts kept their cool with some tough bowling at the end.

Rauf (3-32) got rid of Dawson and Stone with consecutive balls in the penultimate over. Then, Pakistan ran out of Topley to get an unlikely win, which made the National Stadium a happy place.

“We decided that we wouldn’t give up on England. We stuck to the plan, and it worked out well. “I bowled as planned in the 19th over and got the wickets,” Rauf told reporters later at a press conference after the game.

Rauf said that the win was because everyone worked together and did their part. The pacer said that the turning point was when Muhammad Hussain took two wickets in the powerplay. “The people of Karachi who like cricket were very helpful. I’m glad we lived up to their hopes,” he said.
