Six Pakistani Army officials martyr in helicopter crash: ISPR

Web Desk (LTN NEWS): A statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday said that six Pakistan Army officials died when their helicopter crashed during a flying mission near Khost in Balochistan’s Harnai area. The crash happened while the officials were on a flying mission.

“All six people on board, including two pilots, have made shahadat,” the military’s media arm said.

Names of the officers who died

  • Major Khurram Shahzad is 39 years old and lives in Attock. His wife and daughter will remember him.
  • Major Muhammad Muneeb Afzal, lives in Rawalpindi and is 30 years old. He had a wife and two boys.
  • Sub Abdul Wahid, 44, lives in Karak in the village of Sabir Abad. He leaves behind his wife and four kids.
  • Sergeant Muhammad Imran is 27 years old and lives in Makhdoompur Khanewal. He was married and had two daughters and a son, all of whom lived with him.
  • Nk Jalil, who lived in Kharian, District Gujrat, and was 30 years old, was part of the crew. He left behind a wife and two sons.
  • Sepoy Shoaib is 35 years old and lives in the district of Attock. He had a wife and a son.

Shehbaz Sharif, who is the prime minister, said that he was very sad about the crash.

“Deeply saddened by the death of 6 military officials, including 2 pilots, in the accident of a Pakistan Army helicopter in Harnai, Balochistan, “he wrote on Twitter.

“”The whole country feels the pain of the grieving families,” he said.

A Pakistan Army aviation helicopter that was helping with flood relief in Lasbela, Balochistan, went missing last month. Its wreckage was later found in a coastal district of Balochistan.

The crash killed all six officers and crew members on board.
