Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday that Bobar village in Gilgit’s Ghizar district, which is badly hurt by flash floods, will get Rs100 million to help it get back on its feet.
During his visit to the village, he told in a briefing that floods had killed 17 people and caused damage to 249 homes. During the disaster, 794 animals and a number of orchards were also washed away.
Prime Minister told people in charge to give each of the families who lost loved ones in the disaster Rs1 million in compensation. He also told people to build a five-kilometer metal road to make things easier for the villagers.

In a meeting with the villagers who had been hurt by the flood, Prime Minister told them that the government would not leave them alone until all of the families had been helped.
Prime Minister said he is sorry for the loss of lives and property and promised the victims that the government would do everything it could to help them get help and get back on their feet.
During the trip, Prime Minister also held a ceremony at Gilgit airport where he gave cheques to people in Shisper Glacier of Hunza who had been hurt by floods.
