Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Before Imran Khan, the leader of PTI, spoke at his party’s rally in Peshawar, there were rumors that YouTube would be shut down for a short time all over Pakistan.
Before Imran Khan started his speech, a number of Twitter users started to say that the streaming site wasn’t working for them. The hashtag #YouTubeDown became a top trend on the microblogging site.
In a tweet, NetBlocks, which keeps track of the internet, also confirmed that YouTube’s services were down.
In response to the rumor that the road was blocked, PTI said that its party chairman’s speech would be broadcast on Twitter Space.
