Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Mufti Menk says he went to Pakistan with only one goal in mind: to help flood victims by giving them aid and bringing more attention to their plight.

Ismail ibn Musa Menk, a well-known religious scholar from Zimbabwe, has come to Pakistan to help people who have been hurt by the floods.

Mufti Menk shared videos of flood victims and flooded areas on his Instagram account. He said he went to Pakistan for one reason: to help the millions of people who have been hurt by the devastating floods by giving them aid and bringing more attention to their plight.

He said that what is happening is “unthinkable.”

He asked the people to give as much money as they could to help the people.

“Please help as much as you can with any trustworthy charity or partner. “We’ll have to help for the next few YEARS,” Menk said, as Pakistan works to help the people who were hurt by the floods get back on their feet.

“Please understand that I can’t accept any meetings, visits, or invitations that have nothing to do with my work. I didn’t do anything different,” he said.

It’s important to note that hundreds of thousands of people who have been forced to leave their homes are now living outside, where they are at risk of getting sick from diseases that spread in the stagnant water. Authorities say they need food, a place to stay, clean water to drink, toilets, and medicine right away.

Flooding in northern Pakistan was caused by record monsoon rains and melting glaciers. Nearly 33 million people in this South Asian country of 220 million have been affected by the flooding, which has destroyed homes, crops, bridges, roads, and livestock. The damage is estimated to cost $30 billion.

The latest report from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) says that 1,559 people have died because of the floods. This number does not include the deaths of people who got sick because of the floods.
