Web Desk (LTN NEWS): In a leaked recording, Maryam can be heard telling her father that Imran will soon be kicked out of office because of the Toshakhana case. Imran says this is not true.
After tapes of the leaders of the ruling PML-N were leaked back-to-back, PTI Chairman Imran Khan said on Monday that another tape of Maryam Nawaz would be leaked soon.
Imran Khan said at an event that Maryam can be heard telling her father, PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, that Imran will soon be disqualified because of the Toshakhana case. This audio will be released in the next few days.
“After their audio leaks, if they had any shame, they would have quit. But since Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his ministers aren’t leaving on their own, we’ll have to force them out “the head of the PTI said.
Khan’s claim came just a few hours after Fawad Chaudhry, the senior vice president of the PTI, asked the government to look into the leaks of audio from the Prime Minister’s House.
In the last week, three audios have been leaked, and PM Shahbaz and Maryam are at the centre of the controversy.
The latest audio leak that has gone viral on social media is said to include PM Shahbaz, Rana Sanaullah, Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, and others talking about the resignations of PTI members.
Before that, another recording that had been leaked had gone viral on social media. It was said to have been made by PM Shahbaz and talked about how PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz had asked for her son-in-law to get a power plant from India.
Aside from that, a supposed recording of Maryam’s conversation was leaked. In it, she can be heard telling the PM that fuel prices should be raised.
Maryam, who had been against raising fuel prices when she talked to the media, can be heard telling PM Shahbaz to raise them. She also said bad things about the Minister of Finance, Miftah Ismail.
The former prime minister went on to say that the PTI government negotiated with Russia to get a deal on cheap oil and wheat imports, while the current rulers are only in power to “plunder money and move it abroad” and have no plans to help the people.
“Ishaq Dar, who is coming to Pakistan today, left Pakistan on the plane of the then-prime minister,” the prime minister said, calling all coalition leaders corrupt.
“Here, there are deals with thieves. Ishaq Dar moved to London from Pakistan. Ishaq Dar couldn’t explain how he got his money, so he ran away. He is going back because of a deal, “Imran said.
Imran said that free and fair elections would have been possible if Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikandar Sultan Raja had let electronic voting machines be used. Imran called Raja a servant of the Sharif family (EVMs).
At a different event in the city, the PTI chairman said that 60% of the federal cabinet members are being investigated for corruption and that the “biggest thieves” in the country are now in charge.
Imran said that the PTI government was kicked out of office because of inflation, but inflation has gone up by 50% since then.
