Web Desk (LTN NEWS): On Tuesday, PM Shehbaz Sharif asked the whole country to work together to help the people who are hurting because of the damage caused by the floods.

Helping people in trouble is a noble thing to do, he said. That’s why it’s important to put politics and the so-called “numbers game” aside and work together to help the flood-affected people.

He didn’t name any politicians, but he did say that the situation in the country after the floods made it important to reach out to flood victims instead of holding jalsas (public gatherings).

During his visit to the tent city set up in Jhakro village to house flood victims, he spoke to the locals and told them that all parts of society, including the federal government, provincial governments, and people from all over the country, needed to work together to help the flood-affected people.

This morning, the prime minister went to the flood-damaged area of Jhakro in Sindh’s Dadu district to check on the relief and recovery work.

He said that he was happy with what the Sindh government, the armed forces, and the disaster management authorities were doing to help flood victims.

PM Sharif said that 33 million people were hurt by the flood, that 1,600 people died, and that the national economy lost $30 billion because of it.

He said that the government had given out Rs 42 billion to help people who had been hurt by the floods and get them back on their feet.

PM said that Pakistan couldn’t handle the huge floods on its own and asked the rest of the world to help Pakistan more.

He thanked the people who gave money to help Pakistan in its time of need.

He told the people who had been hurt by the floods that the government would do everything it could to help them.

PM went to the tent city with Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and other top officials from the provincial government. There, he was told in detail about the damage caused by the floods.

PM Sharif was told that floods hit all parts of the district of Dadu, killing 37 people and damaging crops and infrastructure.

When he talked to people at the medical camp, the prime minister asked about their health and told them they would get the best care possible.

He told the people in charge to make sure there was enough medicine in the camp to deal with malaria, diarrhoea, and other diseases that were starting to spread.

PM also went to a makeshift school that had been set up in the tent city so that students who had lost their schools in the floods could still go to school.

He announced at the time that a smart school with the latest technology would be built for the children in the area.

PM Sharif talked to the kids at the school and joined them in yelling “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Quaid-i-Azam Zindabad,” which are national slogans.

Within 24 hours of getting back from London, where he stayed after going to the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York, the prime minister went back to the flood-hit areas.
