Web Desk (LTN NEWS): Sunday, Miftah Ismail gave his resignation as Pakistan’s finance minister to PML-N President Nawaz Sharif.
A spokesperson for the party said that Ismail gave his resignation letter to the party supremo at a party meeting in London, UK, where the political and national situation of the country was discussed in detail.
The spokesperson said that when Miftah turned in his resignation, he told them that Nawaz had given him the ministry and made him the minister.
Miftah Ismail talked about how he did as a minister by saying that he used all of his skills and stayed loyal to his party and the country.
The president of the party praised the former finance minister for doing his job even though it was hard and there was an economic crisis.
Ishaq Dar has been chosen to replace Ismail as the new finance minister of the country. On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, he will take the oath of office.
Dar will go back to Pakistan with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif tonight. This was Nawaz’s idea.
