Web Desk (LTNNEWS): On Monday, Imran Khan, the head of the PTI, said that his party would give Rs1 billion from its fundraising efforts to help flood victims in Sindh.
During a visit to Sukkur, Imran said:
“We will build dams so that we can turn this water into a blessing,” referring to the water that was pouring off the hills and into the streams, which caused flooding in the districts on the right bank of the Indus river.
Imran said that “PTI Sindh chapter would decide if the Rs1b would be spent on one area or split among the affected districts when he announced the money for the province. The next telethone will bring in more money for Sindh,” he added.
He said that Sindh’s drainage system is in bad shape and is being taken over, so the water stayed in places like cities, towns, and farms. “There are clogs in the water drains. When we stop water from going where it is meant to go, it causes damage,” he said.
Imran said it was important to use the floodwater and not let it go to waste. He said that his government was the first in the last 50 years to start building 20 dams, three of which were very large.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the country’s Foreign Minister. The head of the PTI made fun of him by saying, “When it rains, water comes, but when the drains are made, water doesn’t hurt.”
Asif Ali Zardari, the former president and co-chairman of the PPP, was also attacked by the former prime minister. He told the young people of Sindh to get ready for a political movement to get rid of “Zardari and his mafia. He also said, “I promise you today that we will get rid of thief Zardari and his cruel system of government.”
Khan said again that Zardari had been stealing money from Sindh and hiding it in other places. “Asif Zardari and his gang are the main cause of poverty in Sindh,” he said. “Now is the time to stop the PPP from running the province.”

Imran said that he would help the Sindhi people get ready to become the people in charge. He swore that the people of Sindh would join his team and that he would be their leader. He said that the PPP was taking advantage of the “Sindh card” to steal from Sindh.
Imran also said at the time that climate change could not be ignored because it is a threat. He said that the campaign to plant trees had to start in Sindh. During the trip, the PTI talked to people by going to their tables and listening to what they had to say. People told Imran that they weren’t getting food, water, or other things that were supposed to help them.
People who were hurt by the floods asked the former prime minister to also go to Kambar-Shahdadkot and other parts of Sindh. During lunch, someone in the crowd yelled that the PTI leader was at least a month late in going to the flood-hit areas.
